The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:

• “Cardholder” means the primary cardholder of an eligible Scotiabank Personal Mastercard® credit card.
• “Promotional Period” refers to the period from October 5, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
• “Promotion” refers to this promotion and not any of Scotiabank’s other promotions or programs.
• “Eligible” refers to qualification to receive and open an email invitation from Mastercard® to participate in the Promotion, which communicates the personalized Spend Goal. Once the Cardholder receives and opens the email invitation, they will be considered eligible to participate. If the Cardholder does not receive and open an email invitation from Mastercard®, they will not be eligible to participate in the campaign, regardless of reaching the Spend Goal. There is no separate landing page or registration required for this Promotion.
• "Purchases" means any retail, internet purchase, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction.
• “Local Eligible Purchases/Transactions” means any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction (not including returns/credits or any fees and/or bank charges) made inside Jamaica.
• “International Purchase” means any retail purchase made with a foreign vendor (a foreign vendor is an entity located and operating outside Jamaica).
• “Registered Card Purchase” refers to any card-not-present purchase made with the eligible credit card where the platform requires the Cardholder to register the card to facilitate purchases. This applies to both local and foreign vendors.
• "Spend Goal” refers to the minimum predetermined amount, shared with selected Cardholders by email, which must be met by making eligible purchases or transactions using their eligible credit card.
• “Prize” refers to the Travel Package the Cardholder has a chance to win by participating in the Promotion, together with the exclusive Messi Fan Box.
• “Travel Package” refers to the Priceless™ Miami Experience available to the winner, including VIP access to an Inter Miami CF® match in Miami, Florida, United States of America.
• “Good standing” means the account should not be overlimit or past due any amount during the Promotional Period.
• “Eligible credit cards” refers only to Scotiabank personal (retail) Mastercard credit cards. Transactions made using Scotiabank Small Business, Commercial or Corporate credit cards are excluded from this Promotion. Debit cards do not participate in this Promotion.
• “Draw Venue & Time”: The prize draw will be done on Friday February 5, 2027, at the Scotiabank Marketing Department at 11:00am, 11th Floor, Scotiabank Centre, Corner Duke and Port Royal Street, Kingston.
• "Scotiabank" or “Bank” means The Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited.

This Promotion is open to legal residents of Jamaica who are 21 years of age or older and who hold an eligible Scotiabank personal Mastercard credit card. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of Jamaica.

During the Promotional Period, Cardholders will be entitled to receive one (1) entry for each occasion the Spend Goal is achieved during the Promotional Period. Cardholders will receive one (1) additional entry for each of the following during the Promotional Period:

• International Purchases.
• Registered Card Purchases.

There is no limit on the number of entries a Cardholder may receive during the Promotional Period.

The Spend Goal will be communicated individually to each client by email:

• Example: If a client in Jamaica receives a Spend Goal of J$30,000 and completes three (3) transactions: one for J$45,000, an International Purchase for J$75,000 and a Registered Card Purchase of J$30,000, this client will receive six (6) entries - one (1) entry for the spend of J$45,000; three (3) entries for the International Purchase of J$75,000: one (1) because it is an International Purchase and two (2) because J$75,000 exceeds twice the Spend Goal; and two (2) entries for the Registered Card Purchase of J$30,000: one (1) because it is a Registered Card Purchase and one (1) for meeting the Spend Goal of J$30,000.

The minimum spending requirement is inclusive of General Consumption Tax (GCT) and/or such other Government taxes as applicable in the jurisdiction where the transaction is processed.

One (1) Cardholder from Jamaica will be selected to win the Prize.

• The Cardholder will earn an entry to win the Prize for each time they achieve the Spend Goal by making Eligible Transactions during the Promotional Period.
• The draw for the Prize will be done on February 5, 2027 and the winner contacted by the Products Team within fifteen (15) business days after the draw date.
  The winner will be randomly selected from an electronic customer database with qualifying entries using a randomizer at the Draw Venue & Time. A total of four (4) back up winners will be drawn.

• The winning Cardholder will receive a Travel Package, the Priceless™ Miami Experience, plus one (1) exclusive Messi Fan Box, which must be used by the winner and a companion of their choice (total of 2 persons).
• The winning Cardholder will win a Travel Package to Miami, Florida, United States of America, including VIP access to an Inter Miami CF® match.
• Once the travel details above are finalised and defined, they will be shared with the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission:
  • Date of travel
  • The specific hotel for accommodations
  • The flight carrier that will transport the winner to and from Miami, Florida, United States of America
• The winning Cardholder must be one (1) of the two (2) travelers.
• The Cardholder and the person of the Cardholder’s choice must be 21 years or older.
• The winner and the winner’s guest are responsible for complying with and/or meeting the requirements needed to access the selected destination. No assistance with respect to Passport, Visa or any other travel document processing and application services or fees will be provided; and should not be expected/considered as part of the Prize.

• Round trip airfares to Miami, Florida, United States of America, for one (1) winner and one (1) winner guest, to travel before May 31, 2027.
• Transportation to and from the airport in Miami, Florida, for two (2).
• The “Travel Package” includes accommodations in one (1) room for two (2) adults at a luxury hotel or similar selected by the Bank/Agency, at the destination during the five (5) days and four (4) nights of the trip.
• Transportation for all activities is included within the “Travel Package”.
• Breakfast daily for two (2).
• 1 Standard baggage (23kg) per person.
• VIP access to an Inter Miami CF® match at the designated stadium, with all-inclusive premium hospitality, food and beverages during the match.
• One (1) exclusive Messi Fan Box, which may include, subject to availability at the time of delivery: a signed Messi jersey, mini UCL Trophy, Argentina pin, gold boot shoelaces, a Messi figurine and ten (10) collectable cards.
• Scotiabank/Xperiences by K2 will be responsible for the listed excursions/activities for two (2).
• The “Travel Package” cannot be redeemed or exchanged.
• The “Travel Package” is only valid for travel before May 31, 2027.
• This is a single-use Travel Package. Any unused portion of the Package is forfeited and is not redeemable for cash or other forms of credit.
• The Prize is not transferable and cannot be substituted for another destination or for its cash equivalent.
• The value of the Travel Package is USD$20,000.
• Scotiabank will be responsible for the listed excursions/activities for two (2).
• The prize is not transferable.
• The Bank reserves the right to make amendments to the period of travel at its discretion with prior approval from the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission for Jamaica.

• This Promotion is open to legal residents of Jamaica aged 21 years of age or older, who has an existing Scotiabank Mastercard credit card with the exception of employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group), subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household as any of these employees.
• There are no limits to the number of entries a Cardholder may receive.
• Transactions from unauthorized credit card use or those made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this Promotion.  

• Scotiabank will make up to three (3) attempts to notify the winner by telephone within fifteen (15) business days following the draw date. Should the Bank be unable to speak to the winner by telephone within the aforementioned period another winner will be selected from the backup winners in their stead. After being notified by telephone, an email will be sent to the winner. The winner will then be required to provide proof of their age and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release within five (5) business days of the email notification to be confirmed as a winner. The winner will also be required to provide proof of ownership of the Scotiabank credit card that was used to win the prize.  A valid form of national identification must also be presented to collect the prize. That is National ID card, Passport, or Driver’s License.
• If the winner declines or fails to fulfill these conditions to collect the prize, their eligibility will be voided, and another winner will be used from backup winners in the order in which they were selected. All unaccepted prizes will be retained by the Bank.
• Scotiabank will make up to three (3) attempts to contact the winner using the Cardholder’s telephone number recorded in the Bank’s records. If the winner cannot be contacted within fifteen (15) business days following the draw date, the Bank reserves the right to award the Prize to the backup winner.
• The winner’s name may be published in the media. By accepting the prize the winner agrees to the use of their name and photographs without further compensation in any forthcoming publicity by Scotiabank or the prize may be forfeited.
• The winner will be responsible for any entry visa, taxes, tips, insurance, travel requirements and expenses not explicitly stated as part of their prize, and must agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Bank from and against any or all claims, losses, injuries or damages resulting from participation in this Promotion. If a Cardholder who is selected as a winner is unable to secure any entry or satisfy any applicable travel requirements for the destination city in advance of the prize trip, this will amount to a forfeiture of the prize and the Bank will proceed to select a new Cardholder from the list of backup winners drawn.
• The use of your Eligible credit card to make purchases together with your use of the Scotiabank Online Banking and Scotiabank Caribbean App to perform transactions in accordance with these terms and conditions constitute your consent to participate in this Promotion and your consent for The Bank to obtain your name, address and other information for the lawful purpose of administering this Promotion and for other uses as permitted by applicable law.  Scotiabank reserves the right, with consultation and approval from the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission to void any and all entries of an entrant who Scotiabank believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest.
• Any Prize earned through participation in this Promotion will be forfeited in the event that the Cardholder ceases to be a Cardholder at any period from the beginning of the Promotion to draw time for this Promotion.
• Prizes are not transferable and are subject to change, with approval from the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission in Jamaica as applicable.
• Prizes must be accepted as awarded.
• Scotiabank will issue no representation or warranty in respect of the prize.
• Unclaimed prizes will remain the property of Scotiabank.

• Any other incidental travel expenses not specifically mentioned above. Ground/air/rail transportation not specifically mentioned above (including transportation to and from the Winners' homes).
• Any costs associated with dispatch/ delivery of passports and/or travel visas.
• This Promotion uses licensed assets authorized by Mastercard®. The Prize does not include any personal meeting, interaction, photograph, additional autograph or direct participation of Lionel Messi.
• The Promotion does not ensure, promise, guarantee or suggest, in any way, that the winner and/or their guest will see, meet, greet, interact or coincide with Lionel Messi. Likewise, it is not guaranteed that, on the day of the Inter Miami CF® match attended by the winner, Lionel Messi will be present, be selected, form part of the line-up or take part (play) in that match. The presence, call-up, line-up or participation of Lionel Messi, as well as of any other player, depends exclusively on decisions of the club, coaching staff and circumstances beyond the control of the Bank, Mastercard® and Xperiences by K2; therefore, his absence shall not give rise to any claim, refund, compensation, prize substitution or indemnity whatsoever.
• Connecting flights (including from home city to the departure gateway city).
• Sightseeing tours and other in-Selected destination activities.
• Travel-related fees/surcharges (including, but not limited to, additional baggage, airport improvement fees, taxes, etc.).
• Long distance telephone calls, room service, laundry service, mini-bar items, loss of hotel property, payment for damage to hotel property, or any other expense incurred at the hotel.
• Transportation during guests' free time outside of scheduled activities.
  • Excess baggage fees.
  • Costs associated with obtaining necessary vaccinations.
  • Items of personal nature / personal expenses.
  • Additional meals.
  • Room upgrade.
  • Tips & gratuities.
  • Please note: Any activity not specifically included in the “Travel Package” shall be considered as excluded.
  • Medical assistance. 
• The winners must provide information in advance about their respective companions, who must comply with the terms.
• In the event of cancellation of the event, Scotiabank is released from all liability and will not apply for refunds or compensation in this regard. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.

In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects, subject to the approval from the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission.

• With prior approval from the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission, Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this offer in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
• With prior approval from the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission, Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank’s decision is final, subject to the approval of the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission.

These Terms and Conditions apply only to this Promotion and do not apply to any of the Bank’s other promotions or programs or any other promotion or program in conjunction with the Bank and any other entity or brand.
