Client Assistance Program (CAP)

The Client Assistance Program allows eligible clients to defer payments on loans and credit cards for up to 3 months, giving you time to recover without worrying about immediate financial obligations.

If you have not been impacted by the hurricane, we recommend that you continue to make payments on your loans so that you decrease your debt.

Policy lapse grace period: Extension of the lapse period from 2 months to 4 months. If you are unable to make your regular monthly premium payments, you have up to 4 missed premiums, before your policy will lapse. An additional 30 days may be given to reinstate policy. Applicable period: November 10-Jan 31, 2025

Waiver of partial withdrawal fees: For all ScotiaMINT policies partial withdrawal fee has been waived. Applicable period:  November 10- December 31, 2025.

Defer payments for ScotiaMINT Policy Loans: Clients are able to request deferral of ScotiaMINT policy loan payment for up to 90 days*. Applicable period: November 10 - Dec 31, 2025
