Scotia Plan Loan 'The sky is the limit' Campaign

Name of the Promotion: “The Sky is the limit”

Promotion Period: The Promotion will commence on June 1,2025 and end on September 30,2025

• “Staycation” a holiday spent in one's home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.

• “Eligible” refers to qualification to participate in this Promotion.

• "Scotiabank" or “Bank” means Scotiabank (Bahamas) Limited

This promotion is open to legal residents of Jamaica who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of Scotiabank (hereinafter referred to as “the Bank”), its Advertising Agency and/or those living in the same household as the Employee of Scotiabank/its advertising agency and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses) are not eligible to participate in this promotion.

To qualify for any Prize the Individual must be a Scotiabank customer whose account is in good standing which includes not being blocked, frozen, written off, or delinquent throughout the Promotion Period ending September 30,2025.

The terms and conditions can vary at any time, at the discretion of The Bank, in consultation with and approval by Betting Gaming and Lottery Commission (BGLC).

All customers who apply and received funds for an Unsecured Scotia Plan Loan (excluding refinancing of an existing Scotia Plan Loan) during the campaign period (June 1,2025 – September 30,2025) will qualify to participate in the draw to win the Prize.

For each Unsecured Scotia plan loan that a customer is granted, during the Promotion Period, the Customer will receive one (1) entry into an electronic database where the winner will randomly be selected. Each entry will be done automatically by the Bank once the eligibility requirements are met.

One winner and two back up winners will be selected as per below:

– One (1) winner: A staycation at a hotel for family of 4 valued $480,000 at equivalent of US$3,000 based on the exchange rate at the time

In order to be eligible for entry into the Draw/ this Promotion, Customers must apply for their unsecured Scotia plan loan within the promotion period, the loan application must be approved and funds disbursed during the promotion period. The winner will be deemed ineligible if any of their account/s and /or loan facilities are not up to date, including Mortgages, credit cards and Scotia Line. Customers will be randomly selected from an electronic customer database of approved and disbursed loan applications.

The prize is not transferable (cannot be transferred for cash) and is subject to change at the sole discretion of Scotiabank, in consultation with and approval by BGLC.

One prize winner or backup winner (A staycation trip to a hotel for 3 days and 2 nights $480,000 at equivalent of US$3,000 based on the exchange rate at the time)

Claiming Period:

• Winner will be announced publicly on social media on October 11,2025
• Hotel- Princess Grand Jamaica
• Duration – Weekend for family of 4 (3 days and 2 nights)
• Scotiabank is responsible for all applicable taxes and fees related to the booking of the prize. However, any incidental expenses incurred before or during the stay—including but not limited to transportation, gratuities, additional services, or personal purchases—will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
• The winner will be notified by telephone within seven (7) working days from the date of the draws. Winners are required to provide formal legal identification (driver’s licence, national ID or passport) along with the signed affidavit upon collection of the prize.
• The winner will be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release. Completion and signing of the Affidavit must be done within seven (7) working days of the official notification from the Bank, to confirm the winner.
• If the winner cannot be contacted by telephone after 5 attempts within two (2) working days at a contact number on the bank’s customer operating document held at the bank records, the Bank has the option to select a winner from the backup winners in the order previously drawn. The winner’s name will be published in the media. The winner must agree to the use of his or her names and photographs without compensation in any forthcoming publicity by Scotiabank.
• The winner will forfeit the prize not collected within fifteen (15) working days after the winner have been duly notified, without any subsequent compensation to them. Only the winner will be able to accept his/her prize. Unclaimed prize will be retained for another promotion.
• The hotel stay must be taken within six (6) months after the receipt of the prize
• Customers agree to be bound by the Bank’s operating processes and procedures, account operating terms and conditions and confidentiality requirements.

By accepting the Prize, the prize winner and his/her participating invitees agree that The Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited accepts no liability which may be incurred by the prize winner and/or his/her invitees by virtue of acceptance and/or participating in the Prize.
