Sending a Scotia International Money Transfer?

Follow these steps

Log on to Scotia OnLine > Move Money > International Money Transfer

Select the account you want to transfer money "from" and "to".
Enter the amount you want to transfer and tap "Submit".

Review the information and agree to the terms and conditions
Select confirm transfer

Digital Money Transfer (DMT) leverages the SWIFT network to facilitate a wire transfer. Here is the step-by-step for completing one:

Login into Online Banking or Mobile App
Select the tab “Move Money
Select “International Transfer
Add or edit recipient
Select “From” account
Select “To” account (Choose recipient from the list)
Enter the amount/currency to send. Choose purpose (required) and description/details (optional)
Review all details, Terms & Conditions Including Fees & Exchange rates.
Click “Confirm” to finalize.
Confirmation received with reference # provided.

Recipient Information:

How to add a new recipient/account

Go to International Transfer Menu
If you’re adding someone else’s account, select Add a recipient Select Continue to save your recipient.
Once you’ve saved a recipient, you can’t edit them. If you need to make a change to their information, you’ll need to delete them as a recipient and add them again.

How to delete a recipient

Go to International Transfer Menu
Select the recipient details you want to remove
Select Delete recipient

If the account information does not match the name it was intended, it will be rejected and returned to you. You’ll need to amend the recipient information and re-send at a submission cost to you. Our transfer process is fast — and sometimes it’s too late to cancel. Once it’s marked as complete, the money is out of Scotiabank’s system and in transit to transfer. So, if you don’t see the option to cancel:

Get in touch with the recipient
Tell them about the mistake
Ask them to send the money back to you — you can then set up a new transfer if you need to

Tip: If you can’t cancel your transfer on the platform, it’s out of our system — so we can’t cancel it either. So please get in touch with your recipient directly.
