
Scotiabank Jamaica Emerges as the National Winner of Euromoney Best Bank 2025 Award
Kingston, Jamaica (September 2, 2025) – Scotiabank has been named the best bank in Jamaica according to Euromoney Award for Excellence 2025. The Bank’s asset base grew by 6.1% to J$705
billion, supported by a 16% increase in its loan portfolio. Residential mortgages rose by 27%, personal and credit card loans by 13% and commercial loans by 12%. The Bank also maintained a non-performing loan ratio of 1.55%, well below the industry average of 2.4%, underscoring its robust credit risk management. And maintained a significant percentage of local market share with 25% in deposits and 22.6% in loans.
