"The best way to get anybody involved in your business is to really think big". This advice was delivered by Tyrone Wilson, CEO E-Media Interactive during his presentation at the recently held Scotiabank Entrepreneurship Talk titled 'Entrepreneurship. Think Big'. Wilson was one of three young CEO's to present to a joint gathering of business students from the University and of the West Indies and University of Technology students in an intense discussion on entrepreneurship.

"Create a big visions for yourself and for what you want to achieve" he said. When approaching business, ask yourself "what will Jamaica be like in ten years? Open your minds and create a future for yourselves, and that is thinking big". He also advised them to not let anyone tell you that your dream is impossible. "Never side-line your dream", he said. Wilson's points were reiterated by the two other panellists, Lacey Ann Bartley, Bartley's All In Wood and Patria Kay Aarons, Sweetie Confectionery.

The former Scotiabank Premier Branch location was officially re-opened, on September 23, to accommodate a new Scotiabank Express banking centre. The location is part of the Bank's continued initiative to provide numerous touch points to facilitate convenient banking options for customers.

Equipped with eight Automated Teller Machines (ATM's), tablets for access to Scotia Online and free WiFi, the new Scotiabank Express Premier location will also facilitate extended opening hours, allowing customers to embrace more efficient banking options. The centre will be staffed by Scotiabank Digital Ambassadors and Tellers, who will be on hand to guide them on convenient self-service banking options including Online Banking and Mobile Banking.

"Our aim is to make the customer experience with Scotiabank as seamless and efficient as possible", said Yanique Forbes Patrick, Vice President, Marketing. "Scotiabank recognises that customers have a greater need for convenience and self-service channels and are in the process of reorganizing our banking practice to offer easy to use technologies and services to all" she continued.

This new Express Banking centre will allow customers to use technology to perform the most common transactions including: make balance enquires, withdrawals, deposits, check balances, pay bills including mortgage and credit card payments of up to $50,000 for cash transactions and $250,000 for cheque deposits. "It makes it easier to complete all your regular day to day banking needs quickly and easily" says Forbes Patrick. "Technology has empowered our customers to expect efficient and immediate results in all areas including banking, and Scotiabank is committed to simplifying these experiences".

The Scotiabank Express Premier centre will open until 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays. This is the second in a series of additional touch points offered by Scotiabank, the first being the Express Banking Kiosk that opened at Mega Mart last December.

Additional Express Banking centres are expected of open soon at various key locations in and around the Kingston and St. Andrew area.
