Scotiabank Express Banking Kiosk Officially Open In MegaMart

[December 17, 2015] Scotiabank executives were on hand to welcome customers to the first pilot full service teller kiosk today, as they officially launched Scotiabank Express, the latest in series of convenient banking solutions. Located in the Mega Mart Shopping Complex on Waterloo Road, the Bank will now offer the benefit of an additional location, with extended opening hours of 10:00 am to 6: 30 pm on Mondays - Saturdays for customers interested in conducting simple transactions such as deposits and withdrawals outside of the regular branch. The Kiosk opened on Monday, but was officially launched today, Thursday, December 17, 2015.

Customers will be able to make balance enquires, withdrawals, deposits, mortgage and credit card payments of up to $50,000 for cash transaction and $250,000 for cheque deposits. According to Annelise Denny "With Scotiabank Express locations we will offer our customers more touch points than ever before that provide a faster and more convenient place to conduct transactions. We are continually finding ways to satisfy our customers' needs by utilizing all of the channels and technology that are available to us" she said.

Bank Executives used the opportunity to interact with customers, giving them opportunity to share and offering cupcakes to thank them for banking with them. Jacqueline Sharp officially declared the facility open with the cutting of a ribbon.

This is the first in a series of additional access points expected to be rolled out across the Corporate Area. Kiosks are intended to offer simple and consistent banking experience with the convenience of extended retail hours and locations where customers can conduct secure and real-time transactions. Scotiabank had previously been offering ATM banking services in MegaMart since 2006 when they initially set up an ATM. Now with the Kiosk, Scotiabank staff members will also be available to attend to customer's needs.
