Standing with you as we recover from Hurricane Melissa

Together, we will rebuild stronger

Dear Valued Client,

The recent passing of Hurricane Melissa has left a deep and lasting impact on Jamaica, bringing with it widespread disruption and loss. We pause to extend our heartfelt sympathy and unwavering support to all persons affected. The strength and resilience of our people continue to inspire us, and our thoughts remain with our customers, colleagues, and communities across the island as we work to recover and rebuild our beautiful country.

We acknowledge that full restoration of our banking service is important, and we have been working hard to deliver.   However, we continue to experience challenges with road access, telecommunications and electricity in some of the most impacted areas.  Notwithstanding the challenges, we are actively relocating team members where necessary to restore operations and client support services across the island as quickly and safely as possible.  We are pleased to report that most of our branch locations have reopened and are delivering banking services, and we continue to restore service at more ABM locations across Jamaica.

We are standing firmly with our communities in their time of need.

Donation

Scotiabank and the Scotia Jamaica Foundation are making an initial donation of approximately $165 million toward national relief and recovery efforts. These funds will be directed through trusted partner organizations to help reach those most affected.

Client Assistance Programmme

We have also shared information on client assistance programmes designed to provide financial relief and flexibility for clients who have been affected by the storm.

We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore full service and help rebuild the communities we serve. Thank you for continuing to place your trust in us.

Together, we will recover—stronger than ever.

Warm regards,

Audrey Tugwell Henry
