Enhanced Transaction Options for Investment Clients

As part of our continued commitment to delivering secure, efficient and client-focused services, Scotia Investments Jamaica Limited (SIJL) is streamlining how investment clients access and move funds. These updates support greater use of Scotiabank’s digital platforms and provide faster, more convenient options for eligible transactions.

Effective October 1, 2026, SIJL will focus on processing investment account transactions directly to accounts held in the client’s name. This means SIJL will no longer process third-party wire transfers or issue drafts and cheques for investment account disbursements.

Your Transaction Options

Clients will continue to have convenient options to access and disburse funds held with SIJL, including:

  • Transfers to Scotiabank accounts: Funds in any currency may be transferred directly from your SIJL investment account to your Scotiabank account.
  • Local currency transfers to other banks: Jamaican dollar funds may be transferred to an account held in your name at another local financial institution using available electronic payment methods, including RTGS or ACH, through Scotia Online or the Scotia Mobile App, subject to applicable terms, conditions and fees.
  • Foreign currency transfers to other banks: Foreign currency funds may be transferred to an account held in your name at a local or international financial institution by wire transfer. Applicable fees will apply.

These enhanced options are designed to improve speed, convenience and security while giving clients greater flexibility in managing their funds.
