Scotia General Insurance Agency Ltd. (SGIA) is a subsidiary of Scotiabank Jamaica Limited. SGIA was incorporated in December 2021 and is licensed to distribute general insurance products on behalf of general insurers in Jamaica.

SGIA currently distributes its offerings via a partnership with GK Insurance Company Ltd.

Scotia General Insurance Agency Limited (SGIA) is a subsidiary of Bank of Nova Scotia (Jamaica) Limited. ScotiaProtectTM is a marketing name of SGIA. Underwriting for SGIA’s offerings are provided by GK General Insurance Company Limited (GKI). SGIA and its customers are bound by GKI’s established policy provisions and product benefits.
