These were among the insights shared and expounded on at a Scotiabank Women Initiative (SWI) advisory pillar seminar entitled: “Wealth, Legacy & Leadership: Mastering Yourself to Build a Secure Future.”
Held on June 18th at Scotiabank’s Mandeville branch, the evening saw women business owners and leaders leaving, motivated and informed about the mindset and intentionality that it takes to build and leave a legacy.
Special guest speaker was Julian Davis-Buckle, Assistant Commissioner and highest-ranking woman in the Jamaica Fire Brigade. Assistant Commissioner Davis-Buckle spoke on the topic Leadership and Self Mastery. She emphasised ownership of one’s legacy, mentorship, courage and overcoming fears.
Oral Heaven - Head of Wealth with Scotia Private Banking Services – Jamaica, and Amelia Dennis - Regional Manager, Scotia Jamaica Life Insurance Company discussed wealth, security, legacy, and planning. Greetings from the Manchester Chamber of Commerce were shared via Mickella Rowe, Director of Workforce Development and CEO of MickWade Security Company Limited.
