Scotiabank again celebrated women entrepreneurs by sponsoring the  2025 Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association’s (JMEA) Woman in Manufacturing and Exporting Award. In a ceremony held on October 4, 2025, Nayana Williams, Founder and CEO of Lifespan Company Limited (L) was presented with the JMEA Scotiabank Woman Initiative Award by Pamela Douglas, Senior Manager Business Banking (R). 

 

Lifespan emerged from among a field of  nine impressive companies assessed in the areas of: ‘Shaping and Guiding the Company's Trajectory’; ‘Enhancing Industry Perception and Driving Innovation’; ‘Industry Leadership and Recognition’ and, ‘Contributions to Business Success’. With manufacturing contributing just under 9% to GDP, the Scotiabank Women Initiative applauds each of the eight candidates for their contribution to national development.
