Mrs. Evelyn Smith

Mrs. Evelyn Smith has been actively involved in the tourism industry since the late 1980's, and is the Immediate Past President of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA). She currently serves on the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association and the Tourism Enhancement Fund, and was previously on the Boards of the Jamaica Tourist Board, and on the Advisory Council of the Passport Immigration and Citizen Agency (PICA).

She is a graduate of the prestigious Wellesley College in Massachusetts, and has received an MBA with honours from Nova Southeastern University.

Mrs. Smith was the recipient of the JHTA's Hotelier of the Year Award in 2008 and in 2013. She was awarded the Prime Minister's Medal of Appreciation for service to Tourism.

Presently, she manages the Tensing Pen Hotel in Negril, one of Jamaica's leading character hotels.
