Mr. Brendan King
Mr. Brendan G. J. King started his career with Scotiabank in 1990 in Commercial Banking. After successive assignments in branch banking and risk management, he joined the International Banking Division in 1994 when he secured his first assignment in the Cayman Islands.
Since then, he has performed numerous roles, including Managing Director of Corporate Finance in Trinidad and Tobago, and Country Head for Greater China. He led the Thanachart Bank through the successful acquisition of Siam City Bank in 2010, and subsequently moved to Thailand as Deputy CEO of the Group.
Mr. King holds an M.B.A. in Finance and International Banking, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business and Economics from York University, Toronto, Canada; a diploma in General Management of the Canadian Bankers Association and Marketing Certificate from the Queens University. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Regional International Banking, Scotiabank. Mr. King and his wife have three children.
